Grape variety

Pinot Noir

Côte Chalonnaise

Burgundy combines the ideal conditions for cultivation of pinot noir. In Burgundy, this grape reflects the tiniest variations of terroir on which it is planted, and thus expresses itself as nowhere else.

Wines are blended in stainless steel tanks and barrels and then matured for ten months in 450 L barrels followed by four months of ageing in stainless steel vats before bottling.

Grapes receive cold pre-fermentation maceration for ten days with pumping over and punching down under temperature control throughout the fermentation.

Karine Moréteaux

Chanzy's expert advice

Serving temperature: 14°C
On the nose in its first years, this pinot noir offers a diversity of aromas with a range of fresh red fruits such as blackcurrant or cherry. On the palate, it is rather round, with assertive but delicate tannins.

Food and Wine pairing

This wine has a freshness and fruity suppleness that is accessible and invites a dinner of aperitifs of fresh and savory tapas. It also serves well at a brunch with soft-boiled eggs with herbs, mushrooms stuffed with shrimps and fresh cheese with chives, roasted fish, roasted vegetables with feta, spinach and ricotta ravioli, lemon chicken and goat cheese.
